Society garlic (Tulbaghia violacea) is a perennial plant that is related to garlic and chives, but has a few unique characteristics:

Growing conditions: Society garlic prefers well-drained soil with humus added, and does best in full sun but can tolerate some shade. It is tolerant of heat and humidity, but also tolerates some drought.
