Hoya carnosa AH-074 (Silver) is yet another rare Hoya cultivar; rare cultivars are known as collector’s hoyas. The stunning collector’s Hoya called as “Silver” is distinguished by its half-moon shape and highly variegated silver foliage.
Leaves: The leaves are large, oval, and taper in shape, with a silver-variegated pattern.
Flowers: The flowers are star-shaped and pink with maroon centers, and bloom in spherical clusters.
Growth: Hoya carnosa AH-074 is a hybrid of Hoya carnosa “Grey Ghost” and Hoya pubicalyx. It has a trailing or twining growth habit and prefers to grow on a pole or trellis.
Light: Hoya carnosa AH-074 prefers bright, indirect light and should be kept out of direct sunlight.
Water: Water the plant when the top of the soil is dry to the touch. Hoya plants prefer a wet/dry cycle and do not like to be consistently moist.
Humidity: Hoya plants prefer higher humidity, between 60-80%.
Temperature: Hoya plants prefer temperatures between 10-25°C.
Potting: Use a well-draining potting mix with added perlite and bark.
Fertilizing: Feed the plant every few waterings during the growing season.
Toxicity: Hoya plants are not considered toxic, but they may cause vomiting if ingested.
