Appearance
This plant has thick, stiff leaves that grow in a rosette shape and can reach heights of 2–3 ft. The leaves are mottled with copper and bronze tones and have wavy edges.
Care
This plant is easy to care for and can tolerate low light levels, but prefers moderate lighting. It’s best to water it when the top couple of inches of soil feel dry, and to allow the soil to almost completely dry out between waterings. The plant should be planted in well-draining soil that’s rich in organic matter.
Toxicity
The Sansevieria kirkii ‘Coppertone’ is highly toxic to pets and children if ingested, causing stomach issues like vomiting, diarrhea, and nausea.
Origin
This plant is native to Zanzibar and the surrounding region in Tropical East Africa.
